About Us
BankChain Alliance is a coalition of banks and state bankers associations working together to build the next generation of banking infrastructure.
We believe the future of payments and financial services should be shaped by the banking industry itself: designed by banks, owned by the industry, and governed with the interests of customers, communities, and financial institutions in mind.
Our mission is to create a secure, modern network that gives banks of every size access to innovative payment capabilities while preserving the trust, stability, and local relationships that have always defined community and regional banking.
As financial technology evolves, banks face a critical choice: build the infrastructure of the future together or rely on systems owned and controlled by others. BankChain Alliance was created to ensure banks remain at the center of innovation, with the ability to deliver modern services while maintaining the safety, regulatory oversight, and consumer protections that customers expect.
By building shared infrastructure, we can lower barriers to innovation, reduce unnecessary duplication, and create opportunities that no institution could easily achieve alone. Our collaborative approach allows banks to access advanced capabilities, develop new products, and strengthen their ability to serve customers and communities in an increasingly digital economy.
Just as importantly, keeping deposits within the banking system helps preserve local lending that supports small businesses, homeownership, agriculture, and economic growth across the communities banks proudly serve.
BankChain Alliance is more than a technology initiative. It is a commitment to ensuring that banks continue to lead, innovate, and serve as the foundation of thriving local economies for generations to come.
